Growing as a mother has taught me that motherhood is all about persistence and patience. These are my affirmations through most days to get back to myself day by day. I’ve made small leaf tiles every time I get a chance (during her nap time) and put them all together indicating all the same routines and chores that I do everyday; however, the overall form is something magnificent. I called this piece “swamp”. A swamp filled with leaves, is picturesque and beautiful; however, one cannot know how it truly feels until drowning in it.
